As the new calendar begins, local managers face the event of welcoming new elected officials to join their boards or councils after the April election. This becomes a great opportunity for managers to work with a new board and officials to learn about municipal and County operations and process. There are several ways a manager could go about designing an orientation program; so what structure and style would be best for your organization?
This session will be divided into two segments. The first segment will consist of a panel of administrators and managers who developed different types of orientation structures to help educate and build relationships with their elected officials as they take office.
