Administrator/Clerk-Treasurer - City of Mineral Point The City of Mineral Point is accepting applications for the
position of Administrator/Clerk-Treasurer until March 26 2010.
This position performs a variety of responsible administrative
duties accounting and clerical functions in the overall operation
of the Administrator/Clerk-Treasurer's office and in accordance
with the State Statutes and Municipal Ordinances.
The Administrator/Clerk-Treasurer is required to attend the
meetings of the Common Council and to keep the official records
of the proceedings. The incumbent also is responsible for
maintaining the City financial and accounting records reports and
statements. This Position manages City Hall. It is critical that
this position represents the City with a positive image to
encourage business and provide quality customer service. This
employee also spends considerable time keeping the financial
records for the Water & Sewer Utility. Work is performed under
the general guidance of the Mayor and Common Council. This is a
non-union position. Bachelor's degree preferred with a strong
emphasis in courses pertaining to administration and accounting.
Five years experience as a clerk or clerk-treasurer and strong
accounting background required. Required to attain certification
as a Certified Municipal Clerk/Treasurer within 5 years of
employment date and to maintain certification.
Starting salarywill be based on candidate qualifications
experience and abilities to perform the broad range of
administrative accounting and clerical functions desired.
